OrganizationChicago Legal Clinic
A Volunteer Law Student (1L, 2L, or 3L) is needed for the Chicago Legal Clinic's FSR Program (Foreclosure Substantive Representation Program) located at the Clinic's downtown office. The FSR Program represents clients in mortgage foreclosure defense cases and the law student works directly with a FSR Program attorney. The time commitment is 15-20 hours; days of the week are negotiable. The law student must have a laptop computer.
About the Organization
The Chicago Legal Clinic provides legal representation on a sliding scale based on household income to disadvantaged individuals from four offices in Chicago - Austin, Downtown, Pilsen and South Chicago.
The Chicago Legal Clinic also operates courthouse-based Advice Desks that provide free legal help.
